Six month gaming battle draws to a close amongst widespread excitement

Dubai, January 29th, 2012 ? LG Electronics hit ?Game On? at the Grand Final of the UAE?s First 3D gaming championship held at Deira City Centre, Dubai. Battling it out over the last 6 months contestants brought their ?A? game on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to a bid to become the UAE?s First 3D Gaming Champion.

Amateur gamers, families, children and friends attended the grand finale on Saturday evening. The thrill and excitement of the on-screen activities were reflected in the crowds? faces as the gamers attempted high-speed antics. Participants received enthusiastic and passionate support throughout the competition with crowds and onlookers cheering them on to get the best score, pushing individuals who they believed were worthy of being crowned champion.

Walking away with top accolades in each of the four categories were; Hashem Bitar champion of Call of Duty, Shawn Ian Joseph winner of Dance Central, Mohammed Faris his brilliant display of FIFA?11 skills and Ashhad Alvi for his astonishing Need for Speed- Shift abilities.

Commenting on being crowned champion of Dance Central, Shawn Ian Joseph said: ?This has been a fantastic experience! The crowd has been amazing and the gaming extremely competitive. All four winners received an LG 3D winners pack including a 42? CINEMA 3D SMART TV, 3D laptop, Optimus 3D mobile phone, 3D monitor, a state-of-the-art gaming console in addition to a trophy and certificate.
